About

I am a working mother of two beautiful babies.   I’m also working on my master’s degree in Human Resource Development.    Before I had children, I was very active.  I was an avid runner and a “gym rat”.  Like many women, when I got pregnant I was so afraid of hurting my baby that I nearly stopped working out all together.  I couldn’t find any information that supported being active, working out, and running during pregnancy so I nearly gave it up completely.  That’s the reason I decided to put this web site together.  I want to give other women the real scoop on staying fit during pregnancy and beyond.

Like every mother, I’m extremely busy so working out took a backseat for a while.  Trying to juggle everything was very overwhelming for me at first.  I learned the hard way that not being physically fit makes everything else in life seem much harder.  Now, after much trial and error and working through myths and old wives tales about working out during pregnancy, I’ve gotten my routine down (as much as I can with two toddlers) and I feel MUCH better.  Once I got healthy and fit again, everything else seemed to come back into focus.

My goal with this web site is to provide active mothers with the best information out there about staying healthy and fit without absolutely going crazy or letting anything else in your life take a backseat.  I truly hope the material I have here helps you through that tricky transition period during your pregnancy and after your little one comes.
