The thing about designing a nursery is that babies cannot express their preferences in terms of colors, themes, and such. You can simply decide on a motif, then make some changes once your kid can decide.
Another option is to use neutral colors and themes. You can go for hues like white, light grey, and beige. These colors are very flexible and can go well with pieces in different hues. The best part is you can use them as backdrops for hues that the kids will choose down the road. Such colors are also easy to paint over should kids prefer one hue or another.
Gender-neutral themes can also be great choices. Do not be afraid to experiment with non-restricting themes such as nature and animals. This way, children grow up being more adventurous and not afraid to step out of the box.
